Emergency Response Team (CERT)

The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency has become part
of a national network of CERT communities. The Emergency Management
Agency has developed a program that is designed to help neighborhoods
prepare for and respond after catastrophic disasters such as
hurricanes, tornados, and other major emergencies.

Lincoln
County First Responders Program
The Lincoln County Volunteer First Responder
Program began in March 2007 and currently has 35 members. The
First Responders is under the oversight of the Directer of the
Lincoln Medical Center EMS and Cheif of the Lincoln County Volunteer
Fire Rescue. This group if first responders is called to a medical
emergency to help the patient before the ambulance arrives.
Each member is required to take a sixty hour
class and pass a test to receive a state and national registry
license to practice in the state of Tennessee. Each member must
also re-certify every two years in order to keep the license
current.
